History
Dubai Industrial City (DI) is a non-free zone development catering to industrial tenants in manufacturing and logistics within the GCC market.
Manufacturing companies at DI have the advantage of excellent connectivity by road, air and sea to all major markets plus exemption of customs duties for GCC sales.
More than 30 factories are planned to be fully operational at DI’s manufacturing cluster by the end of 2011. The logistics cluster at DI is home to another 50 leading companies from the region. Companies with representation at DI include Kanoo Engineering, Shafar Steel, Al Futtaim, Arabian Automobiles, BASF, Conmix, Terazzo, Arabtec, Alec and DoFreeze.
DI offers specific industrial zones that enable operational synergies from co-location of similar industries, and a complete solution for all the real estate needs of industrial tenants. This includes industrial land for self build, pre-built warehouses for logistics and light industrial use, labor accommodation, office space, retail showroom and onsite assistance with start-up and operational services.
