Dubai Industrial City, a member of TECOM Investments, and Xpress Money, the leading global instant money transfer brand based in the UAE, jointly organized an activity and entertainment day for workers at Dubai Industrial City’s Labour Village. The event, which was attended by around 9000 workers housed in the labour village, comes as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the two companies and marked the occasion of the International Labour Day.
The day’s activities kicked off with a a short race which featured around 700 runners, with 10 winners and camp leaders taking away attractive prizes. The race was won by Mansour Ali, hailing from Kerala, India. High-voltage entertainment with an RJ from a local radio station, DJ music, as well as four live bands with professional musicians from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, made the day a special one for the workers. The event was attended by Dubai Industrial City officials and Mr. Sudhesh Giriyan, Vice President- Xpress Money.
